February 4: Winter Lecture Series Sponsored by the Newark-Arcadia Historical Society. Topic "Solemn Pride", a Civil War play video presentation. Directed by Larry Ann Evans, the play was originally presented on the stage of Ohmann Theatre by Wayne County Historical Society and Lyons Heritage Society last fall. February 20: Winter Woodland WalkBeechwood State Park, Lake Road in Sodus NY. Sign up now to join in a Presidents day walk in the woods, along the lake shore and by the creek. We will be looking at tree's, doing winter ID, counting birds for the Great Back Yard Bird Count (A Citizen Science program), limited snow shoes will be available for use (IF we have snow) Hot cocoa and cookies will cap off our day. February 25: Nature of Montezuma Lecture and Snowshoe: Get the Dirt on Montezuma The Montezuma Audubon Center is proud to welcome Dr. Andrew Kozlowski, Associate NY State Geologist, for a talk about his current research in the Montezuma Wetlands Complex. Dr. Kozlowski and his colleagues have been studying Montezuma in an attempt to piece together its geological history. What’s the scoop? Come find out!
