Snowshoe At the Montezuma Audubon Center!

March 3:  7th Annual Gala Ball

March 3: Nest  Box Building Volunteer Day
Come one! Come all! Make nest boxes for birds great and small! Volunteers are wanted to help build and repair nest boxes for our most vulnerable bird species like the kestrel, wood duck, and purple martin. Lunch will be provided. Fee: FREE! 9am to 1pm.

March 7:Montezuma Birding Van Tour
Ducks, geese and swans are on the move as the spring migration season is upon us.  Hop in our van for an excursion to Montezuma’s birding hotspots where hundreds of thousands of waterfowl can be seen! Participants are encouraged to bring their camera and binoculars. Fee: $7.50/child; $10/adult, $30/family; $5/person if you drive yourself. 9am to Noon.

March 10: Winter Lecture Series

March 10: Annual Dinner Dance Biker Ball

March 11: Canaltown Chorale Concert
The concert will feature Canticles of America by John Rutter and The Last Words of David by Randall Thompson . Additional selections of sacred music will be performed. The Chorale will be under the direction of Jerry Hefley and Kay Oosterling will accompany. March 16: Impact Theatre Presents New City
New City is a five member band that consists of rhythm lead guitar, vocals, bass guitar, saxophone and drums. They play a wide variety of music such as spiritual gospel, and rhythm and blues combined with funk rhythms. Drama also by In Your face Players. Fee: Free! 7:30pm-9:15pm. March 28: Derby Hill Hawk Watch
Visit Lake Ontario for the spectacular spring raptor migration. Travel in the Montezuma Audubon Center van to witness hundreds and perhaps thousands of bald eagles, red-tailed hawks, sharp-shinned hawks, turkey vultures and many more! If weather conditions do not cooperate, the program will be moved to Thursday, March 29. Meet at the Montezuma Audubon Center 2295 State Route 89, Savannah, NY 13146. Fee: $15/child, $20/adult.

March 29: Shade Grown Coffee House and Open Mic Night
The Montezuma Audubon Center hosts a coffee house/open mic featuring local music and talent. Come relax and enjoy the music or sign up to perform. The Coffee House will feature a brief presentation on the status of the NYS Environmental protection Fund. Fee: Free! 6:30pm-9:30pm

March 31: 6th Annual Easter Egg Hunt

March 31: 2nd Annual Wayne County Pizza Contest fundraiser.
An exciting event in which participants can try pizza from 8 different vendors and VOTE on which one they like the best. A DJ will be present provided by Action Entertainment and there will be a cash bar available. Admission is $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for children 10 and under. The event will be held at Captain Jacks located at 8505 Grieg St. in Sodus Point. The judges for this year’s event are the Rochester Pizza Guy (rochesternypizza.blogspot.com), WROC/WUHF’s John DiPasquale, WHAM13’s Sean Carroll, and Sodus Town Superintendent Steve LeRoy.
