August 12: Palmyra Pirate Weekend - The Pirates of the Erie Canal invade the Palmyra Village Park and other venues throughout the Village of Palmyra, bearing a boatload of fun for all ages.  A full weekend of adventure and action is planned, including: FREE Movie in the park on Friday night AT DUSK, (The Goonies! ….it’s a tradition now!!), On Saturday, a Pirate Regatta Bed Race, Pirate & Kazoo Band Parade, Painted windows along Main St, Climbing Wall, Chicken BBQ, Canal Boat Rides, Dunking booth, Old time photos (we’ll let you borrow pirate gear if you don’t have any!), Historic Palmyra Museums and Walking tours, Pirate tales, live music, food, children’s games, Healthy Living Treasure Hunt, Jolly Roger 5k race (to benefit Pal-Mac Select Choir!) and much more. August 12: Historic Palmyra’s Erie Canal Pirate Weekend at the Museums - Historic Palmyra’s Pirate Whitley’s Haunted Cave. Live and dead pirates, skulls and treasures suitable for the younger and older folks. Stories are told in the Museum yard and free to all by Bloody Mary at 12:30pm and 3:30pm at the Palmyra Historical Museum. All Museums open from 11am to 4pm at discounted Pirate pricing $2 for each museum with a $5 trail pass. Children 15- under no charge.
