January 1, 2018: First Day Snowshoe Hike – From 1pm to 3pm Join us as we celebrate the first day of the New Year with a snowshoe hike! Weather permitting, we’ll hike through snow muffled forests, across grasslands and out to the usually inaccessible Crusoe Lake shoreline to explore hearty winter birds and signs of active mammals. January 1- February 28, 2018:  NYS Ice Pro-Am Tournament Series - Fish any NY State waterway, any time of day from January 1st through February 28th using any legal angling method (open water, ice fishing, stream & river fishing, etc.) for 7 categories of fish. www.nysiceproam.com/winterclassic/home.html

January 20, 2018: Owl Prowl -Get up close to live owls during an indoor presentation by KrittrKris who will discuss what special adaptations these birds have to help them survive during the winter season and be successful hunters of the night. January 27, 2018: Wild Game for the Big Game -Have you heard of “living off the land”, “sustainable living” or the “locavore move-ment”? Growing, raising, and hunting your own food is not only cost effective, but leads to a healthier life. Join us for this new program that will be led by Montezuma’s wildlife experts. The morning session will highlight the proper way to harvest and store wild game. The afternoon session will showcase the proper cooking techniques to ensure the tastiest meals. We will provide new and seasoned wild game chefs with fun recipes to serve at your upcoming football party to score a touchdown!
