Birding and Boating: Clyde River

What better way to enjoy the beginning of summer than by taking a relaxing canoe/kayak paddle alongside Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge! Join us for a guided tour to learn about the natural history of the Montezuma Wetlands Complex and specifically about the cultural history and impacts the Erie Canal has had on the wetland habitats. We will paddle no more than 2 miles on flat water. There is a slight current, but these waters are very calm and perfect for beginners or those who have less experience. Each paddle tour is different, but we are likely to see birds up close like the Great Blue Heron, Green Heron, Bald Eagle, and Osprey. Bring your own canoe/kayak or rent a boat from us! We have tandem canoes and single kayaks available and provide all the rest of the gear needed if you rent from us. Paddle tours are subject to be canceled or postponed due to inclement weather. Please review the cancelation policy for more details.
Please note: We will meet at Rivers Crossing Campground & Marina (508 NY-89, Savannah, NY 13146)
