
Canal Clean Sweep 2023
Every Earth Day weekend, the NYS Canal Corporation and Parks & Trails New York host Canal Clean Sweep, a weekend of 100+ spring clean-ups on sections of the Canalway Trail, in canalside parks, and in other public areas throughout the Canal corridor.
Historic Palmyra’s Erie Canal Clean Sweep:
Join us on Market St as we make our way to the Erie Canal to clean up our historic district and canal trails.

The Newark Rotary Club:
The Newark Rotary club, well again, hold Cleanup at the Canal on April 22 at 9 AM. All Rotary members and volunteers are invited to help keep the canal clean and pleasant play for people to walk and ride bikes.

Trailworks:
Trail Works Clean Sweep event to tidy up the Erie Canalway.
9 AM – noon, April 22, at the spillway near Clinton’s Ditch Lock 65 site in Lock Berlin.
Park on south side of Route 31 at Gannett Rd., by the Wayne Hills Country Club sign.
Please bring tools (not required) that can be used to clear the area of underbrush.
Coffee and donuts will be provided.
