LEAVE NO TRACE AWARENESS HIKE at Beechwood State Park
Join Rich Ross and Nancy Snyder on a Leave No Trace Awareness hike through beautiful Beechwood State Park. This hike is approximately 2 miles with an excursion to an A-Frame for lunch. Come prepared to enjoy interactive activities of the 7 Principles of Leave No Trace. As we hike along the trail, we will stop periodically for a lesson. Bring water, snacks, and lunch. Dress for the weather with proper footwear, and remember, Beechwood is a carry in/carry out park. Contact Rich Ross at ross97@gmail.com or Nancy Snyder at sonar100@rochester.rr.com to reserve your spot. This training is suitable to apply toward ADK/Outdoor Leader guide Level 1. Watch the Trail Works Facebook page for any weather-related updates for this event. Hope you can join us!
NOTE: Trail Works member Rich Ross is the Chapter Chair of the Adirondack Mountain Club Black River Chapter (near Watertown). He has been fully trained as an ADK/Outdoor and Trip Leader Guide Level 3, including Leave No Trace Trainer. Leave No Trace is a national organization. www.LNT.org
