#OptOutside Hike

Trail Works #OptOutside Hike at Alasa Farms

Friday, November 24, 10:30 – 12:00 Noon

We don’t shop on Black Friday…we hike!  Why not work off that turkey and pumpkin pie with a nice easy hike through the woods of Cracker Box Palace at Historic Alasa Farms.  Please join us for our annual #OptOutside hike on Friday, November 24, 10:30 – 12:00 noon at Alasa Farms Bentley Bond’s (red) trail (see trail link below).  The trailhead for the red trail is located on Red Mill Road going west from the Farm towards Route 14.  Go past the Farm and head down the hill (Shaker Tract Road turns into Red Mill Road) and look for the “Trail Works Hike Today” signs at the base.  Parking is on either side of the road.  We will first view the waterfall (yes, there is a waterfall here!), and then hike north towards the Sodus Bay Lookout.  There is one steep hill, and some smaller ones along the way, so hiking poles are helpful.  Once at the end of the trail, we will enjoy the fall scenery of Sodus Bay at the lookout.  The hike is a total of 1.5 miles round trip.  Dress for the weather with proper footwear.  Watch the Trail Works Facebook page for any weather-related updates for this hike.  Don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy a segment of the Alasa Farms property many never even knew existed!  You will not be disappointed!
