Slavery from Washington DC to freedom in Macedon NY

Saturday, October 7th, 2023 2:00pm FREE presentation of Washington lawyer, Mary Kay Ricks (author of Escape on the Pearl!) speaks on the amazing story of Mary and Emily Edmonson, who left slavery in Washington, D.C. attended a Quaker School in Macedon and then returned to teach in a D.C. school for the Black children.  Presentation is on the 2nd Floor Auditorium at the Macedon Academy 1185 Macedon Center Rd., Additional parking in the Church Parking lot, just west of the Academy.
