The 5,200-square-foot facility offers year-round environmental education programs, exhibits and presentations. The MAC houses a large exhibit area, nature store, auditorium, meeting room, classroom and office area. On its 198-acres, there are five types of habitat, two restored freshwater marshes, two-miles of trails, and an all-access observation platform. Canoes, kayaks, and snowshoes are available to access the heart of Montezuma’s wetlands, forests, and grasslands. Other recreational opportunities include nature photography, cross-country skiing, fishing, picnicking, wildlife viewing and hiking.

The Montezuma Audubon Center hosts an annual “Wildlife Festival”   The Wildlife Festival brings enthusiasts together to discover the wonders of nature, the wealth of healthy living through recreation, and the richness of history that surrounds the area.  It is a family fun festival that will be active and alive with outdoor education activities, entertainment for all, and of course a place to have some good food! 

The 2019 Wildlife Festival will be on Saturday, May 4th from 10am to 3pm.
